Tim Roth, John Simm & Kelly MacDonald Star in 'Skellig'

Tim Roth is to star in the the two-hour film "Skellig," helmed by Annabel Jankel and based on David Almond's childerns novel which will premiere on Sky1 and Sky1 HD in Spring 2009 and will later be released in cinemas worldwide.

Bill Milner (Son Of Rambow) will play Michael, the boy who discovers the magical creature Skellig, which also stars Kelly MacDonald (No Country For Old Men) and John Simm ("Life on Mars") as his parents.

Set in the North of England, the film recounts the story of a young boy who discovers the strange creature Skellig part owl, part angel after moving house and nourishes him back to health, while his baby sister is gravely ill in hospital.
