World War Z To Be Directed By Marc Forster

Quantum Of Solace director Marc Forster has agreed to direct a big screen adaptation of Max Brooks's brilliant best-selling novel World War Z.

The story takes place in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse in which a U.N. researcher gathers together interviews from survivors around the world. The accounts describe how the global pandemic shifted religious, political and environmental views and left the planet decimated.

"The genre always fascinated me, and when they pitched it to me, it reminded me of the paranoid conspiracy films of the '70s like All The President's Men," Forster told Variety.

J. Michael Straczynski is working on the screenplay for Paramount, with Brad Pitt acting as producer.
