Thank Folk! Flight Of The Conchords May Continue On TV.
HBO has stated it wants to make a third series of Flight of the Conchords, despite the reservations of creators Jermaine Clement and Bret McKenzie.
The news comes amid speculation that the creative trio are talking about a possible film.
Clement and McKenzie admitted that writing new material for the second series had proved stressful after using up a majority of their back catalogue in the first series.
Bret McKenzie recently said that the 2nd series finale seemed like a good end to the show.
HBO president of west coast operations Michael Lombardo told Broadcastnow: "I think not. Admittedly, they were exhausted when they finished their latest series.
"They are serious musicians and it is a daunting task to write so many new songs, especially since their used their entire repertoire in season one.
"But they are taking a break before going on a live tour and I fully expect them to be back in late 2010 or early 2011."
Series two of the show will air on BBC Four this spring. The duo are also expected to announce UK and hopefully Ireland tour dates for late 2009/ early 2010.
Flight of the Conchords: One Night Stand
Check This...'Nuit et brouillard'
Ten years after the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps, filmmaker Alain Resnais documented the abandoned grounds of Auschwitz. One of the first cinematic reflections on the horrors of the Holocaust, Night and Fog (Nuit et brouillard) contrasts the stillness of the abandoned camps’ quiet, empty buildings with haunting wartime footage. With Night and Fog, Resnais investigates the cyclical nature of man’s violence toward man and presents the unsettling suggestion that such horrors could come again.

Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy & Ellen Page To Join 'Inception'
Warner Bros. is in talks with Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan's 'Inception'.
Production begins this summer on the film for a 2010 release.
The subject matter has been kept under tight wraps, with the studio describing the film as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.
Also interesting little fact when all the crazy rumours last year where flying around about who would portray Catwoman in the Dark Knight sequel. A source with links to The Dark Knight film suggested to Flicks News that Marion Cotillard was the only actress Nolan was considering to portray Catwoman if the character was to appear in the 3rd Batman film.
Will Arnett &Michael Shannon Join 'Jonah Hex'
Will Arnett and Michael Shannon will join Josh Brolin, John Malkovich and Megan Fox in the Jimmy Hayward directed comic book adpation of Jonah Hex.
Arnett will play a straight-arrow Union soldier who enlists Hex, while Shannon has been cast as circus group leader Doc Cross Williams.
The film revolves around a bounty hunter, brutally scarred during the Civil War, who attempts to stop a Southern plantation owner from raising an army of the undead.
Robert Patrick Confirms He Has Been Approached For Terminator Sequel
The T-1000 himself, Robert Patrick has confirmed speculation he could return for Terminator 5.
Patrick admitted that director McG had approached him about the possibility of reprising the android shape-shifter assassin for the Terminator Salvation sequel.
"Yeah, he talked to me about it," said Patrick. "I’m interested. I was listening to him tell me about it. I had no idea that he thought about that. I love McG. He’s a great guy. I’ve worked with him before, had a great experience working with him both times – I did Charlie’s Angels 2 and We Are Marshall. And I certainly can’t think of anybody to tackle T4 other than him right now. I think he’s got the energy for it and the passion for it. I know he’s a fan of the movies. I think he’ll do a fantastic job. I’m interested to see what Christian Bale does with John Connor. I’m interested to see the whole setting for that."McG has previously suggested having"But we saw each other and he talked to me about it, so we’ll see what happens. The sci-fi genre, and specifically that character, is something I’m very proud of. It’s what broke me out big to the world. And it’s a character that I’ve lived with ever since, and I kind of carry it with me everywhere I go, for good or bad. So it’s obviously something that’s very dear to me and real special to me. That was a real special time. That franchise means a lot to me. All of those people were great people to work with. I love ‘em all – Jim Cameron and Arnold and Linda and Eddie. It was a real, real special time in my life."
'Robert Patrick the way he looks today, and he's a scientist that's working on improving cell replication so we can stay healthier and we can cure juvenile diabetes and all these things that once again sound like good ideas -- and once again live as an idealized expression of ourselves. So imagine seeing a sixty-year-old Robert Patrick and knowing, 'Holy shit! That's gonna be the T-1000 – who comes back perfect, lean and the whole thing.'Terminator Salvation is released in Ireland and the UK on June 3.

Christian Bale To Step Down As Batman Due To Terminator Commitments
A third Christopher Nolan directed Batman film seems less likely today as Christian Bale officially announced he was stepping down from the role as Gotham's caped crusader. Bale who had already signed on to star in all 3 upcoming Terminator films revealed due to upcoming filming scheduling commitments of the sequels to Terminator Salvation and "feeling that the Dark Knight was a fitting end to his involvement with the films" stated he will no longer play Batman.
Batman Begins director Christopher Nolan is now busy working in pre-production on his upcoming sci-fi flick Inception opting not to go straight to work on a Dark Knight Sequel as Warner Brothers had hoped, he is also expected to start filming the film adaption of cult TV classic 'The Prisoner' next year which has led many to suspect he too is no longer involved with the Batman franchise.
Ironically it is Bale's Terminator Salvation co-star Sam Worthington who has been tipped to replace Christian Bale as Batman in the third instalment of the caped crusader’s franchise which could see a whole new team behind it. The 32 year old is expected to break it big this year in his roles in Terminator and James Cameron's Avatar.

Star Trek Sequel in The Works
Variety reports that Paramount Pictures has already planning a sequel to Star Trek, hiring Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof to write the screenplay.
J.J. Abrams, who directed and produced the new film, is on board to produce the follow-up alongside his Bad Robot partner Bryan Burk. No decision has been made yet on whether Abrams will direct the sequel.
Orci, Kurtzman and Lindelof also are receiving producing credit on the sequel.
The story is still in the embryonic stage, but the trio are aiming to deliver their script to the Melrose studio by Christmas for what would likely be a summer 2011 release.
"Obviously we discussed ideas, but we are waiting to see how audiences respond next month," Kurtzman said. "With a franchise rebirth, the first movie has to be about origin. But with a second, you have the opportunity to explore incredibly exciting things. We'll be ambitious about what we'll do."Head Over to MTV for more images from the upcoming film.

Part 1
Within the Woods is a short film written and directed by Sam Raimi shot on Super 8 mm film with a budget of $1,600, the film was made as a show reel film to show potential investors so Raimi could raise money to produce a feature length version which would become 'The Evil Dead'.The film was shown as a double billing with The Rocky Horror Picture Show when a critic saw it and gave it a very good review. This critique was one of the things that Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi, and producer Robert Tapert used to prove they could make a quality horror film. They eventually secured their funding for the feature-length version of the film, The Evil Dead, which was released soon after to massive success.
Due to copyright issues of music used in the film, the film has never been released and the only copy that is available is sourced from a poor quality bootleg.
