The Royle Family is to return for another Christmas special, the BBC has confirmed today.All the regular cast will return for the new show, which will also reunite writers Caroline Aherne and Craig Cash.
The new episode comes more than two years after The Queen of Sheba, in which Nana died – which had, until now, widely been considered as the show’s final instalment.
Christmas specials for Gavin And Stacey, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, and Lead Balloon are also in the pipeline; while Wallace and Gromit return in a new adventure, In A Matter Of Loaf And Death, and David Tennant stars in a special edition of Doctor Who.
