Animated Short 'Give Up Yer Aul Sins' was released in 2001 by Irish Animaton Company Brown Bag Films. Based on the original audio recordings taken by school teacher Peig Cunningham in Dublin schoolrooms from the 1960's. A schoolgirl tells her interpretation of the story of John the Baptist.It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short at the 2001 Oscars.
