Is The Green Hornet Dead Again?

According to hitfix.com there is some worrying news that Seth Rogen's take on "The Green Hornet" is dead. The loss of Stephen Chow from the project as director seems to have damaged the films future, a number of unnamed sources have stated that Sony has lost interest in the project, Drew says:
Ever since Stephen Chow started to waffle about his participation in the film, I've been hearing rumors that there were major hesitations at Sony. Then at Sundance, I heard several people say that the film was off completely. I spoke this afternoon with a source close to the film, and while they didn't call it completely dead, they did say it is "highly unlikely" that the film will shoot in 2009 at all.
Well until something official is released its hard to say whats going down, and with Seth Rogen been such a big name at the moment and the proposed release date being June 25, 2010. There is more than enough time to reach a compromise with Chow to return or to find a suitable replacement.
