Pete Jackson Gives Details On 'Tintin' Sequel

MTV caught up with Peter Jackson who has doing press junkets promoting 'District 9'. Jackson revealed Spielberg has just finished his cut of the first film in the series and that he will be viewing it next week once he has finished promotion duties.

He then went on to talk about his plans for the sequel and the books he may be using as the basis for his film:
"I'm partial to 'The Seven Crystal Balls' [and] 'Prisoners of the Sun,' that was always one of my favorites," said Jackson. "I love 'The Black Island,' as well."

"I'm keeping my options open," he explained. "We haven't nailed it down just yet. I'm going to reread all the Tintin books again. ... We don't start writing that script until next year when we're done with 'The Hobbit' script, so I've got a little bit of time to change my mind."

"Certainly, 'Seven Crystal Balls' and 'Prisoners of the Sun' are the front runners at this stage,"
