Superman Lives: Nicolas Cage's Costume Test As Superman Finally Revealed

'Superman Live's is the title for a cancelled Superman project intended for production during the late 90s to be directed by Tim Burton and starring Nicolas Cage. The movie was green lit and reached pre-production with artwork, costumes and some sets all being created. However due to financial budget concerns and film production dates pushed back and eventually put on hold, Tim Burton decided to depart the project.

Tim Burton has depicted the experience of 'Superman Lives' as one of the worst experiences in his life, citing various differences with producer Jon Peters and the studio, stating, "I basically wasted a year. A year is a long time to be working with somebody that you don't really want to be working with."

$30 million dollars was spent on the project.

I think this film could have been all sorts of curious, beautiful oddities.
