Guillermo del Toro Announces He Will Remake Disney’s 'Haunted Mansion'
Guillermo del Toro has announced at Disney’s Tron: Legacy presentation at Comic-Con he will be developing a new big screen adaptation of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride. Following the success of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Disney brought 'Haunted Mansion' to the screen with Eddie Murphy in 2003, Guillermo del Toro assured the crowd that Eddie Murphy will not be allowed in his 'Haunted Mansion,' he said his film will be "scary and fun at the same time …. if you take the children, they will scream."
He described the project as “a dream come true.” He will produce and co-write the film and may direct it as well.
