'The Dark Knight Rises' & 'Superman: Man Of Steel' Shooting Dates

Christopher Nolan's superhero ventures 'The Dark Knight Rises' and his rebooted 'Superman: Man Of Steel' both have shooting dates.

First up is 'The Dark Knight Rises,' Michael Caine told Empire that the film would "probably start in May next year." Going on to say:
"Emma [Thomas], the producer, said we'd get the script in January. Christopher said: 'Script in January, shoot in May, finish in November.'"

Until then the confirmed cast members remain - fittingly - in the dark. "Christopher is the most secretive guy in the world," Caine said, "he won't tell you anything."
In 'Superman: Man Of Steel' news Deadline have reported that Christopher Nolan, Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder have are on the search for their man of steel. The focus of the search is on actors is on 18-32 year-old performers who are either unknowns or rising stars without a lot of baggage and, more importantly minus the hefty price tag of established talents.

The likely start date of film is next June, which would fit with Warners’ legal need to get moving on a film before 2012.
