David Chase Announces Cast For His Feature Film Directing Debut

Creator of 'The Sopranos' David Chase has announced the cast for his untitled feature directing debut for Paramount with Brad Garrett, Bella Heathcote, Christopher McDonald, Molly Price and Lisa Lampanelli.

James Gandolfini and Steven Van Zandt are set to reunite with Chase in the coming-of-age drama. Gandolfini set to portray the father of a teen in a rock band, set in 1960s suburbia, with John Magaro playing his son.

Garrett's portraying a composer / music producer. Price will play the boy's mother with Lampanelli as his aunt. McDonald plays the father of the boy's love interest (Heathcote).

Chase said in Thursday's announcement that he was looking forward to working with Gandolfini again, saying
"He is the perfect actor for this part – a postwar, post-Depression era parent who has given his kid every advantage that he didn't have growing up, but now can't help feeling jealous of the liberated, more adventurous destiny his son is able to enjoy"
