'Akira' Loses Another Director

Neo Tokyo is safe for a little while longer as the live action remake of Akria has lost its second director. Albert Hughes who replaced Ruairi Robinson has now left the project, the intention of Warner Bros. now is to keep the picture on a fast track and find a replacement for the director's chair quickly.

'Akira' is based on the original manga by Katsuhiro Otomo which he adapted as an anime in 1988, depicting a sci-fi cyberpunk dystopia.
