UPDATE:Lena Headey and Nick Frost have joined the cast.
Stephen Merchant will direct the Rock in a adaption of real life British wrestler Saraya-Jade Bevis aka Paige. 'Fighting with my Family' will also star Florence Pugh as the young wrestler.
Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis), now 24, was born into a family of wrestlers in Norwich; her mother kept up the bouts unwittingly well into her pregnancy. In 2005, at the age of 13, Bevis made her debut in the World Association of Wrestling, a promotion run by her family. She is a two-time Divas Champion and was the inaugural NXT Women's Champion in WWE's developmental branch, NXT. She is the only person to have held both championships concurrently.
The film is a co-production between WWE Studios and Film4 and will begin shooting later this month.
