At last a sequel has been announced you can be excited to hear about. Sam Raimi at comic-con announced he is starting work this weekend on getting the Evil Dead 4 going. An Evil Dead sequel has long been hoped for but both Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi have long dangled a carrot about possibly making it but then usually dashing hopes by either one or the other completly ruling it out. This is a definite confirmation from Raimi that its being planned, which to best of my research has never been done before!At Comic Con today Raimi announced that Evil Dead 4 is "in the wheelhouse. He even went so far as to say that he and his brother Ivan would be getting together this weekend to work on itExpect more news forthcoming if Sam sticks to his word!
