Radiohead Score Choke

Update: Radiohead have clarified their involvement in the film version of 'Choke'. Radiohead have actually only contributed a song to the film, with 'In Rainbows' track 'Reckoner' set to run over the closing credits.

Shame would have been a good collabaration!

Radiohead have returned to the studio. The band has written the score for Choke, an upcoming film based on Chuck Palahniuk's novel.

"[Director] Clark Gregg knew that I'd written Choke while listening to Pablo Honey, with Creep, over and over and over," Palahniuk said to BBC 6 Music this week. "So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits."

When the band finally saw the film, they "liked [it] so much," Palahniuk explained, that "they've written the score, most of the ambient music throughout it. So it's Choke - with the music of Radiohead."

Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood recently scored the soundtrack to Paul T. Anderson's Oscar winning film ‘There Will Be Blood'. Radiohead have never scored a film as a band.
