Daniel Day-Lewis In Talks To Re-Team With Scorsese


Variety has news that Martin Scorsese next project will be 'Silence' a film he has had on his plate for the last 10 years. Scorsese and Graham King's GK Films are in talks with Oscar winners Daniel Day-Lewis and Benicio Del Toro to star. Gael Garcia Bernal is also circling the film, expected to begin production later this year in New Zealand.

Based on the novel Silence is a 1966 novel of historical fiction by Japanese author Shusaku Endo, is set in the 17th century as two Jesuit priests face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and to spread the gospel of Christianity.
